Alberta L. Allison, 74, daughter of the late Ernest G. Allison, Sr. and Annie B. Allison, was born in Statesville, NC on October 2, 1948. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 28, 2022, after a brief illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers-Ernest G. Allison, Jr. and Charles Edward Allison, her sisters-Dorthene A. Clark and Julia Mae Allison, her nephew-Ernest G. Allison III, and her niece-Reverend Victoria R. Guyton.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Brian K. Allison of the home, her sisters, Annie M. Smith of Troutman, NC and Mamie A. Walker of Adelphia, MD, her nieces and nephews whose relationship were more like siblings and friends, her great and great-great nieces and nephews, her church family, other relatives, neighbors, and friends.
After graduating from Unity High School in Statesville, NC, she remained in the home to care for her aging parents as she worked in several different occupations, seamstress, hardwood floor technician, Day Care Provider, and Professional Caregiver. After her father’s sudden death, Alberta unselfishly took a four-year break from her career to care for her mother who was a double amputee.
Alberta was a Life Member of South Iredell A.M.E. Zion Church in Troutman, NC where she served faithfully in several ministries including Steward, Missionary, Culinary, Lay Council and Choir. She was always willing to pitch in and assist wherever and whenever her help was needed.
