Alice Bell (Hart) Cowan
Obituary
Alice Hart Cowan was born on October 27, 1936 in North Carolina to the late Charlie and Vurney Hart.
Alice received her education at Torrence Lytle High School in North Carolina. She was employed by the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System for over 30 years.
Alice was a member of First Mount Zion Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC where she served on the Usher and Missionary Board, and also a member of the Hymn Choir.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Vurney Hart; brother J.D. Hart; 2 sisters, Cecilia Johnson and Margaret Harris.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughter, Darlene Graham (Jeffery White) and Paulette Cowan. Three Sons, Ray Cowan, Herman (Sudell) Cowan, and Thurman (Kim) Cowan. Sisters, Berthine (Late Thurman) Ross and Dorothy (William) Turner and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
