Anthony “Poppie” had a genuine heart for people. He loved his family, friends, and community. In remembering Anthony, his neighbors share how he always lent a hand to help those in need. Anthony’s personality was unmatched. He always wore a bright, white smile and could leave your jaws sore from laughter. A jack of all trades, Anthony was a cosmetologist, gardener, artist, and chef. He followed his mother’s love for cooking and enjoyed planting and growing flowers.
Left to cherish his memories are his family, step-father, Howard (Faye) Clark, Jr. of Mooresville, North Carolina; siblings, Emerson Blackwell of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rodney (Cynthia) Blackwell and Steven Blackwell both of Statesville, North Carolina, Bryan (Michelle) Clark of Gaffney, South Carolina, Sonya (Shannon) Cherry and Tyisha Clark both of Mooresville, North Carolina; a very special friend of the family, Jason Foddrell of Charlotte, North Carolina, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Always Loved . Forever Missed . Never Forgotten
