Betty Joyce (Turner) Bailey

Betty Joyce Turner Bailey, age 75, of 417 Neel Street, Mooresville, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday March 21, 2019 at Gordon Hospice House after an extended illness. She was born July 8th, 1943, the daughter of the late Garland Turner, Sr. and Mary Alice Turner. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mayhew and Paul Turner and four sisters, Louise Dolson, Johnsie Turner, Sarah Rucker and Phyllis Turner. Ms. Betty as she was affectionately known, was educated in the Iredell and Rowan County Schools. She was a dedicated member of Campbell Missionary Baptist Church, Mooresville, NC where she was on the Usher Board and served as Treasure and also a Trustee and a member of the missionary board. She was employed at Davidson College and she was a house keeper for multiple people for many years. She was also employed at Templon Spinning Mills for a period of time.
