Bobby Eugene Torrence was born on June 13, 1955 to the late Roger Bryant and Winnie T. Cherry. He departed from his life on earth on July 13, 2024.
Bobby attended Iredell County Schools. He grew up going to Antioch Baptist Church. Before the decline in his health, he was a member at 3 P Ministry.
He was a long time employee of the Town of Mooresville for thirty four years before retiring in 2022. Bobby was a recipient of the Herman Drake Award for the state of North Carolina. Before joining the Town, he was a ten year employee for Parker Hannifin. He has always been a hard worker. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and spoiling his grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his mother; Winnie T. Cherry; father, Roger Bryant; sister, Amanda Turner; and brother, Jimmy Lee Torrence.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of twenty seven years, Bessie Torrence of the home, a daughter Barbara White (Ernest), and a son Jerome Torrence of Dillion, SC. He also leaves five sisters; Cristiana McCoy (JW) of Kannapolis, Jeanette Brown and Ethel Tomlin both of Mooresville, NC, Mildred Roberts of California, and Nevada Bryant of Texas.
Bobby was a loving grandparent, he had ten grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren; five stepchildren, Eric, Erica, Tara, Andrae, and Eduardo. Along with a host of nieces and nephews his memory will live on.
