Bryan Gabriel

Mr. Bryan Gabriel was born Sunday December 18, 1960 in Newport, Rhode Island to the late Thomas C Gabriel and Mary Lowe Gabriel. He departed this life on Saturday August 17, 2024.

During his lifetime, He was a graduate of Mooresville Senior High School, Class of 1979. He served in the United States Air Force. He was a graduate of Mitchell Community College with an associate’s degree in applied science, Business Administration, 2003. He was an Ingredient Technician in the Weight Room at Bestco for 20+ years. He delivered for the Charlotte Observer on and off for 20+ plus years, a passion that began while he was a teenager on the Earle Naval Station in Colts Neck, New Jersey.

Bryan enjoyed being a part of the community. He was the President of his book club. He was an adventurer, participating in ziplining, horseback riding, segway, indoor skydiving, and occasionally a rollercoaster. He loved to travel, visiting museums and historic sights. He was a member of two family reunion committees and kept genealogical records. Bryan had a passion for sports with Carolina Panthers and Carolina Tarheels being his favorite teams. He had a love of aircraft and enjoyed putting together model aircraft and flying a RC plane and helicopter. He was a lover of arts, including shows and plays, creating written works, reading novels, and music, his favorite being jazz. Bryan has always been a creative thinker. He had many projects completed and planned. He has always been a child at heart. He loved playing games and having fun with his grandchildren and grand dog.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Calvin Gabriel. He leaves to cherish his memories, His Mother, Mary Lowe Gabriel of Mooresville, NC. His brothers, Edward O. Gabriel of Statesville, NC and Phillip D. Gabriel of Mooresville, NC. The mother of his children, Lacy Gill Gabriel Nunez. His children, son Nicholas O. and daughter-in-law Nicole M. Gabriel, and daughter, Martinique Gabriel of Mooresville, NC. His grandchildren, Deontae Gabriel of Granite Falls, NC, Storie, Qwest, and Legynd Gabriel of Mooresville, NC. His grand dog Archer G. Gabriel of Mooresville, NC and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Friends.
