Our Lord sent down from Heaven, an Angel to bring his child – Charlie James Patterson, III, home on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from his home in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
Charlie was born December 20, 1985, to Charlie James Patterson, Jr. II and Joyce Anne Sherrill, in Iredell County, North Carolina.
Preceding him in death is his step-father, Charles William Lackey, and Grandfather Charlie James Patterson Jr. I.
He was educated in the Mooresville Graded School System, and attended Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church, Cleveland, North Carolina.
Charlie was a loving son, father, uncle, brother, and grandson, as well as a friend to many. He had a passion for football, basketball, playing chess, and playing his Play Station games. But – his greatest passion and love was sitting down writing his book.
Charlie leaves many, many loving memories to his mother, Joyce Ann Lackey of the home, his father Charlie James Patterson,Jr. II (Beverly), the love of his life, Jasmine Johnson, two sons, Landon Gimmett and Yuri Patterson; brothers, Darwyn Javan Robinson, Blaine Winford (Jennifer), Chris Winford, Daniel Winford, Andre Winford (Jennifer), Tyleeka, and Quinton; sisters, Latoya, Aniyah , Natissa , Candace , Tomekia Stephanie, Stewart, Aleah and Hydia. Grandparents, Harry and Francella Sherrill and Betty Boyd; Nieces, Jania , Kaziyha, Si’Riyah, YaYa, TaTa, Darnajah, Avi, Quenshan, Miyana, Melani, along with a host of great nieces; nephews, Baby D, Wisdom, Malakhi, QJ, and Shavaya. Charlie leaves a host of loving aunts, other relatives, and friends.
