Dianne Burton Forney was born on September 10, 1955 in Mecklenburg County to the late Eddie Edell Burton and Joeann Reid Burton. Dianne is preceded by death with her parents, granddaughter Tyleasha Forney and brother James Monroe Burton.
Everyone knew Dianne by her nicknames which were : Di-Cat or Cowgirl. She graduated from North Mecklenburg High School. Then started working at Davidson College and Brawley Middle School until retirement. Dianne had a bright personality and knew how to light up a room. She loved her horses and animals on her farm. She was always inviting people to the farm; so she can show off her animals. Dianne was famously known for making her pineapple, open rose crochet blankets. She loved going to trailrides, dragways and fishing. Dianne never met a stranger and always spoke her mind. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Dianne leaves her husband, Wilbert Forney of the home. Her children: Charlene Forney from Charlotte, Tyron (Sara Forbes) Forney from West Virginia, Clarence (Lakeo)Forney from Lucia. Her brother: Eddie Burton, Jr. (Debra Nathan) from Winston-Salem. Her Great Aunt Mary(William) Sykes from Stanley. Her sister-in-law Geneva Redfear of Statesville and brother-in-law Gilbert(Beannie) Forney Jr. from Charlotte. Grandchildren are: Tyleke Sherrill, Abreesha Forney, Jhamyia Tucker, Jada, Juliette, Juliana and William Forbes-Forney, Avery Forney, Jayriah and Malaysia Williams. Great Grandchildren are: Heaven Finger and Kaysyn Tucker. Also a host of close friends, nieces and nephews.
