Donald Richard Duff

Mr. Donald Richard Duff was born to the late Edward Lewis Duff Sr. and Lacie Bell Rawls. Donald peacefully entered eternal rest on Sunday, March 13, 2022 surrounded by his wife and loving family.

Donald attended Dunbar High School. In his early years he was employed by Crouch Bros and later employed by the Town of Mooresville for over 31 years until his retirement. He was a member of Campbell Missionary Baptist Church where he held the office of a deacon. Donald was an avid racing fan and loved to watch old westerns.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters; Sylvia Kale and Norma Jean Johnson, and brothers; Edward Duff Jr. and Ted Stewart.

Donald met the love of his life Georgia Marie Howell, & they were united in marriage on December 23, 1956. They shared their love and marriage for over 65 years.

He leaves his cherished memories with his wife, Georgia Duff of the home, his children; Donald “Ray” Duff of Smyrna, Tennessee, Sheila Duff (Vincent) of Mooresville, NC, Diane Duff (Michael) of Charlotte, NC, and Cynthia Duff Anderson (Michael) of Stone Mountain, Georgia, his grandchildren; Summer Davies, Charron Walker, Chasiti Anderson, Kimberlee Washington, Rosalynne Duff, Michael Anderson II (Monet), Asiah Lineberger, Deval Lineberger, Jasmine Duff, and DJ Duff. He also leaves his great grandchildren; Kendrick, Debo, Martavious, Briana, Kobe, Courtney, Tiara, Elijah, Imari, Savannah, Markus, Britney, Olivia, Imani, Cassius, Arianna, and Zoey; 5 great-great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Charles Howard (Sharon) of Chapel Hill, NC, and bonus family Herbert & Carollyn Harris. Also, to cherish his memories are a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
