Dorothy Lee Lowman

Dorothy Lee Lowman was born November 9,1945 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to the late Doc Sloan and Florine Cureton Sloan. She departed this life at the age of 79 on July 3, 2024, at Trinity Glenn Assistant Living, Winston Salem, NC. 

Dorothy graduated from the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. She later married Vernon Lowman of Charlotte, NC and had two daughters. 

She leaves to cherish her memories; daughters, Volita Lowman Morrison, and Vanisa Lowman April; grandchildren, Silina Gaston, Daniell Combs, Emanuel Black, and Charlotte Lowman Phifer; great-grandchildren, Chyna Wallace, Valencia Combs, Chade Wallace, Santaria Martin, Valyncia Combs, Vontazia Gaston, and Vashon Gaston; great-great Grandchildren; Gabriela Montalvo, Zach-lani Wilson, LaiLuna Wilson, and Taliyah Wilson; cousins, Mazella McDowell, Bettye Phillips, Mary Sloan, and Sallie (Gerald) Brown, and a host of great-great-great grandchildren.
