Estella (Dykes) Gibson

Mrs. Estella Dykes Gibson, transitioned from this earthly life to life eternal on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at Magnolia Creek Assisted Living, Winston Salem NC. Estella was born February 2, 1943 in Charlotte, NC to the late Alexander and Mable Dykes. Estella received her education in the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. She was employed in the Hotel Industry Hospitality Services for many years. She was an active participant in the Gethsemane A.M.E. Zion Senior Enrichment Program, where she enjoyed arts and crafts and traveling until her health declined. Estella had a sharp mind for remembering everybody’s birthday and enjoyed shopping to give them a gift. She loved solving crossword puzzles and watching good old wholesome TV shows. She also loved singing and listening to music. Estella will be especially remembered for her giving spirit and caring heart.
