Frank Bengin Harris was born March 2, 1932, in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, to the late Frank and Josie Bobo Harris. He departed from this earthly life on Friday, May 12, 2023, at his residence in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Frank was a member of St. Philips Missionary Baptist Church.
He retired from Crowder Construction Company after 35 years of service. Frank was an avid gardener who loved sharing his “Harvest” with friends and family.
Frank was married to the late Maggie Sloan Harris; he was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter and thirteen siblings.
He leaves to cherish his memories to: six sons, Thomas Harris and James Harris of Forest City, North Carolina, Frank Harris (Ed), Richard Harris (Marcy), Earvin Harris, and Nelson Harris (Kina) all of Charlotte, North Carolina; two daughters, Beulah Harris Gaffney of Forest City, North Carolina, and Mae Eunice Harris of Charlotte, North Carolina. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends whom he dearly loved. Special friends Paul Walthars, Joe Murphy and Sam Barringer.
