George Stanley Flowers

Mr. George Stanley Flowers, beloved son of the late Luther and Grace Perry Bess, was born June 6, 1930. He departed this life on Monday, April 12, 2021, at his home in Mooresville, North Carolina.

George was preceded in deaths by his parents, Luther and Grace Perry Bess, two sisters, Earlene Herbert and Alice Mash, and one brother Charles Bess.

He attended and graduated from the New York School System, after which he joined the United States Army. After serving his military time and returning home, he was employed by the I. E. Shaffer Company in New Jersey until his retirement. In June 1961, George was united in Holy Matrimony to Margaret Estella White who still resides at their residence.

George leaves to cherish memories of his life, his lovely wife, Margaret Estella White Flowers of the home, one sister, Shirley Boykins of Orangeburg, South Carolina, one brother, James Earl Bess of Albany, New York, one brother-in-law, Otis White (Mary) of Mooresville, North Carolina, two sisters in laws, Mary Venning (Isiah) of Charleston, South Carolina, and Katie White of Mooresville, North Carolina and a loving God daughter, Novella White Lowe of the home. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive.
