Herman Theodore Snelling

Mr. Herman T. Snelling was born November 3, 1932 in Belmont, NC to the late Wilma White Snelling. Herman transitioned and gained his wings on Friday, December 3, 2021.

Herman was born in Gaston County, North Carolina. He attended grade school and high school there. Then he went to Kings College and Johnson C. Smith University. After attending college, Herman served his country as a part of the United States Army for 21 years.

Herman loved his wife Margaret as well as God. He was a man of great faith. Herman loved to have fun and was always full of Army stories. Herman loved to travel with his wife Margaret to different Auxiliary Conventions for DAV (Disabled American Veterans). He was active within the United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margaret Snelling, and son Herman T. Snelling Jr.

He leaves to treasure fond & loving memories, Derrick Snelling, Sabrina Snelling; cousin, Frank James (Francis); long childhood friend since the age of 5, Oscar Hand; 1 sister-in-law, Vivian Thorne; 2 caretakes, Diamon & Korieona. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
