Mr. James William Brunson was born on December 26, 1946 in Summerton, South Carolina. He was the youngest of ten children born to the late Charlie Brunson & Sue Ellen Brunson. Two sisters (Eva Belle Stinnie & Ertha Mae Gissentanner) and a brother (Charlie Brunson Jr.) preceded him in death. God, in his infinite wisdom, called James from labor to reward on May 30, 2018. James received his Christian foundation at a young age at Liberty Hill AME Church in Summerton, SC. He was educated in the public school system of Clarendon County and a 1964 graduate of Scott’s Branch High School. He was very active in various clubs and organization, but is best remembered as an outstanding varsity basketball player for four years. Upon graduation, James joined the Armed Services & served his country faithfully until he was honorable discharged. After his discharge from the Armed Services, James migrated to Brooklyn, New York where he met his lovely & faithful wife in 1968, and married June 27, 1970. From this union was born Myron their only son. He was employed by Bay Ridge Lumber Co. & Miron Lumber Co. and retired from the latter. James was a quiet humble man who had a passion for hunting & fishing.
