Janet (Caldwell) Griffin

Janet Caldwell Griffin was born August 18, 1944 in Mooresville NC   to the late Woodrow and Jenolia Graham Caldwell.  She departed this life on August 5, 2022 at Carrington Place in Matthews NC.  She was a lifelong member of Bethesda AME Zion Church in Mooresville.   In addition to her parents Janet was preceded in death by her husband Guy Griffin Jr., her son Arnold, brothers Donald Caldwell, Clifton Graham and sister LaVerne Cross. 

To know Janet was to love Janet as she embodied the spirit of God.  She was not perfect, but she strived to live her life in the manner in which our savior Jesus Christ would ask of all of us.  She was not ashamed to let those around her know that she loved the Lord.  There is so much more that could be said about Janet, but there is no need for her life spoke for itself.  

Janet is survived by her son Jeff (Tammy), daughter in love Cedell, siblings Grace Brawley, Bobby Caldwell (Patricia), Joyce Garris (Grover), 1 brother-in-law Ralph Ellis (Beverly) and 1 sister-in-law Carolyn Hunter. Five grandchildren,1 great grandchild, a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Janet will be truly missed, for she was loved by many.
