Jarvis Varnard Carr

     Jarvis Varnard Carr, better known as “Chuck,” was born September 24, 1948 to Wilma Burton Carr and Willie Marshall Carr, in Iredell County, Mooresville, North Carolina. He departed his life on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

     He was educated in Mecklenburg and Cabarrus County School Systems. He later moved to Philadelphia where he spent a lot of his life. He was a truck driver employed by the City of Philadelphia Sanitation Department. He was a very outgoing person, loving all kinds of sports.

     He was preceded in death, one son Jarvis Varnard Carr Jr.; his father, Willie Marshall Carr; mother, Wilma Burton Carr; brothers, Willie Alfred Carr, David Marshall Carr; and sister, Gloria Dean Spaddy,

      He leaves to cherish one sister Sandra Huang (Tom), One brother James Michael Carr, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
