Jerry Michael Little

Jerry Michael Little was born March 30, 1937, in Cornelius, NC. He was the son of the late Willie Celeste Little and the late Chester Carr. He was the grandson of the late Rev Earl E. Little and Ella Houston Little. Jerry received his education in the public school system of Mecklenburg County and the New York City School System. Jerry was a member of Union Bethel AME Zion Church.

Jerry is survived by his wife Shirley M Little, a current residence of Cadence Senior Living, Huntersville, NC. Sisters Gailya J. Knox, Huntersville and Sherry C. Byrd, Ukiah, California, Stepdaughter Jewell Smith and Stepson,Carlton Smith. Nieces; Tujuana Springs (Keith) and Sedalia Dumas, (Rodney) and Ronisha Roberts; Nephews Antonio Knox, (Angie) Survella Knox, (Lisa) and Reggie C. Warren. Cousins; Peggy C Rivens, Ed Miller, Rayford Miller, and Lori Ann Houston. Jerry had a host of grand nieces, and grand nephews.

Jerry moved back to Cornelius from New York City. After spending many years working with cars in the city, he pursued other opportunities; manufacturing, retail and finally the movie theater industry, of which he retired. While he enjoyed working at the theater, he continued to detail cars and was one of the absolute best at making them shine.

Jerry departed this life on May 4, 2023, moving from Labor to Reward. He will be missed because his life was a sermon that we could see without hearing.
