Jerry Wayne Mercer

Jerry Wayne Mercer was the son of the late John Mercer and Mary Neil Haynie Mercer. He was born September 16,1953 and departed this life on February 27, 2020 in Concord, N.C.

Jerry was a lifelong member of Columbus Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.

Jerry was preceded in death by his Father, John Mercer, Mother, Mary Neil Haynie Mercer, Brother, Thomas Mercer, Sister, Denise Mercer, Brother, Rev. Oliver Eugene Mercer, and his Sister Brenda Mercer Jackson.

He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters. Rev Shirley Mercer of Davidson N.C., Mary Ann Mercer of Kannapolis N.C.; one brother, John Wesley Mercer of Davidson N.C.; four aunts Rosa Dargins Charlotte N.C, Shirley McKay California, Sadie Haynie Kannapolis N.C., Nettie Haynie Kannapolis N.C; two uncles, Joseph Mercer Charlotte N.C., and Billy Haynie Troy New York. Also, one great nephew that he loved dearly, little James, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
