Joanne Elizabeth (Archie) Stewart

  Joanne Elizabeth Archie Stewart, 72, affectionately known as Ma, Grandma Joanne, and Jodi (Jodi Frodi) passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. On November 15, 1952 Joanne was born to the late Mary Lewis Brawley Archie and Robert Lee Archie, Sr. Joanne left her home on earth to meet our Lord and Savior and to be greeted by those preceding her in death who were dear to her. Her husband, Bobby Eugene Nichols Stewart; two sisters, Myra Archie Stinson, Edna Archie Anthony; one brother, Robert Lee Archie, Jr.; and a dear friend, Terry Springs.

     She attended North Mecklenburg High School. Later in life Joanne worked as a unit secretary and CAN at Northeast Medical Center until her health declined.

    Joanne welcomed all into her home and was a caring and forgiving person. The range of her love for Michael Kors shoes, Louis Vuitton bags, sterling silver jewelry, her pets (both chosen and strays), and even special services television  was no surprise to those that knew her. More importantly, she loved the Lord and all that he had done for her. Joanne leaves her beloved family to cherish fond memories of their time together. Her four daughters, Coretta Grant, Demethris Keith (Craig), Barbara Wilson (Scott) and Jo Evelyn Stewart-Watkins (Nathan); six grandchildren who she was so proud of, Ashley Beatty, Jalen Parson, Bryce Wilson, Lauren Keith, Jackson Keith and Isaac Wilson; One Aunt, Juanita Archie; A special son, Bernard Grant; A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, additional relatives and friends.
