Lennie (Heath) Westmoreland

Mrs. Lennie Heath Westmoreland, 93 of Troutman, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021, at the Citadel Nursing Home of Mooresville. Born August 22, 1927, in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late Velma Heath Howard and the late Henry Knox.

She moved to Iredell County when she was ten years old. She attended Neill Town Primer School and graduated from Unity High School in Statesville, NC.

She was a former member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Troutman, and joined Shinnsville United Church of Christ in Troutman at an early age after she married Otis Robert Rayfield Westmoreland, Sr., who preceded her in death after 57 years of marriage.

Lennie is survived by three daughters, Brenda (Robert) Harris, Patricia Westmoreland and Glenora (Vincent) Thomas, and one son Otis (Iris) Westmoreland Jr.
