Lequeint Troutman, age 44, was born on March 31, 1981, in Mooresville, North Carolina. He passed away on January 18, 2026, in Greensboro, North Carolina, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and meaningful connections with all who knew him.
Lequeint was the beloved son of Lori Redfear and the late Theodore McCorkle. He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore McCorkle; his grandfathers, Robert Lee Troutman and William McCorkle; and his grandmother, Thelma Sharpe.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loving mother, Lori Redfear (Emory Redfear); his grandmother, Tinnie Faye Clark (Howard Clark); his sister, Shaneil Troutman (Nylikk, Emyija); his son, Lequeint Troutman Jr. (Nessiah, Sakarri); and his daughter, Shyla Troutman (Kash, Kannon, Rae’Lynn). He also leaves to cherish his memory his stepdaughter, Laci Hayes (Khloe); his stepson, Tevan (Justin, Theodore, and Amelia); his stepbrothers and stepsisters, Steven D., Felitca, Kisha, Marcus, and Domonique; his best friend, Randy Griffin; and a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lequeint was a graduate of Mooresville High School, where he proudly played football. A lifelong sports fan, he passionately supported the Carolina Panthers and the Tar Heels. Known for his strong work ethic, Lequeint held various jobs throughout his life and especially enjoyed his work as a forklift operator.
Above all, Lequeint was a loving, caring, and devoted family man who cherished his children and valued his relationships deeply. He had a natural ability to connect with people and was known for his humor, warmth, and comedic spirit that brought joy to those around him.
Lequeint Troutman will be remembered with love and gratitude for the positive impact he made on the lives of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
