Margaret Gertrude McLaughlin

Ms. Margaret Gertrude McLaughlin 86, of Mooresville, North Carolina, was born October 31, 1932, in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late William and Lula McLaughlin. She departed this life on Monday, July 1, 2019, at the Accordius HealthCare Center, Mooresville, North Carolina. In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her sisters, Martha Knox, Mary Davis, Hazel McLaughlin, Lillian Massey and Shirley Thompson; brothers, Robert McLaughlin and Nathaniel McLaughlin. She was a member of Bethpage Presbyterian Church and attended church until her health began to fail; at Bethpage she played the piano. Margaret attended the Cabarrus County Schools; she previously worked at McLean Cleaners and Brian Center.Left to cherish memories include two children, son, Leonard McLaughlin (Jannet), and daughter, Judy McLaughlin Cherry, both of Mooresville, North Carolina; six grandchildren, Charlene McLaughlin, Teresa Adkins (Nate), Amy McLaughlin, Chris McLaughlin (Rita), Rebecca Faulkner (Douglas) and Kenneth D, Cherry, Jr.; one brother, William McLaughlin. 18 great grandchildren, 26 great great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
