Morge Rea Mency Wilson, 79, beloved daughter of the late Marvin Mency and Ossie L. Raines Mency, was born April 5, 1938, in Americus, Georgia. She peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Gordon Hospice House, Statesville, North Carolina, after a lengthy illness.
She attended Mitchell community College and received her Certified Nurses Assistant Degree. She was previously employed at Plaza Nursing Home, Syracuse University Hospital (upstate medical), Journey's, and K&W Cafeteria. Morge was a member of Holsey Memorial C.M.E. Church, Statesville, North Carolina, where she was a member of the church choir. She was united in marriage to Isom Wilson who precedes her in death, along with daughter, Sherry Wilson, granddaughter Jeanette Brown, and siblings, Willie Pearl Tyson and Mary Mency. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, loved to shop, loved sports (golf, football, ice skating and olympics). Morge was a lively, vibrant person who loved to socialize, dance and dress.
