Morris Earl Thomas Jr. was born on July 23, 1988 to his late father Morris Earl Thomas Sr and survived by his mother Lisa Jones. He departed for his journey home on Sunday June 19, 2022.
He received his Education at Manasquan High School in Manasquan, NJ. Morris moved to North Carolina 10 years ago from Belmar, NJ and was living in Wilmington NC.
Morris worked for the New Hanover County 911 Call Center. He took pride in being a part of the 911 family. He was constantly looking out for others while dealing with his own challenges. Morris's commitment to narcotics anonymous can be summed up in one phrase; selfless service.
His love, passion, generosity, and kindness shown through him as he sponsored men in recovery and was of service to NA as a whole by participating on various service committees. This included: Area Service Committee, Hospitals and Institutions, Freedom by the Sea Convention Committee, and being a participating member of his home group. He made everyone feel welcomed and a part of the NA family. He gave other addicts hope and was an inspiration to many. The light that shown through Moe's actions was undeniable and will continue to live on through the many addict's lives he has touched.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Lisa Jones, his sisters Melissa Jones, Tareea Suratt, brother Justin Pettit, grandmothers Eleanor Jones and Janet Nau, girlfriend Linsee Graham and kids Tat, Trinity, Haizal, brothers through life: Willie and Tony, and a host of aunts uncle and cousins.
