Odessa Henrietta (White) Sisnett

Odessa Henrietta Sisnett was born June 26, 1934 in Huntersville, NC to the late Earnest L. White and Zula Graham White. Odessa was the third of six siblings. She was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on May 29, 2022.

Odessa attended the local elementary school and graduated from Torrence Lytle High School. After High School she attended Nursing School in Charlotte, NC and    graduated as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).  Odessa’s career took her to New York where she was gainfully  employed as an LVN for over 35 years. She had one daughter, Cynthia White Rivens Sisnett who also was a Health Care Professional. Cynthia blessed Odessa with two wonderful grandchildren.  Odessa was a proud great grandmother of three.

Odessa loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church. She was dedicated to working in her church community.

She was preceded in death by her parents Earnest and Zula White, her husband Clairmonte Dowlen Sisnett, three brothers; Lorenzo Boyce White, Howard White, and Earnest White Jr., and also her daughter Cynthia White Rivens Sisnett.

She leave to mourn her passing, but celebrate her life; a grandson, Bryant Sisnett (Jackie), granddaughter, Lisa    Parker Williams (Ron) Sr., great grandchildren, Ronald Williams Jr., Brianna Flora Williams, and Brandon Sisnett; a brother, Kermit White of North Carolina; two sisters, Mary J. Williams and Shirley Owens of California; and sister in law, Essie White. She also leaves many    nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
