Obituary

Mr. Oneil Sanders was born June 11,1942 in Rowan County. He was the son of the late John and Vernor Sanders. He passed away on October 8, 2021. He was preceded in death by a sister Vivian S. Worth and a brother Ricky Sanders.

   He was a graduate of Dunbar School and served in the US Army.

   He leaves to cherish his memory, one son Byron Torrence (Sylvia) of Athens, GA and one daughter Byronna Torrence of Mooresville, NC; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Sherrill of Troutman, NC, Marie Williams, and Claudette Byers of Mooresville, NC; two brothers, Marlin Sanders, and John Sanders both of Mooresville, NC; two aunts, Vernell Sanders and Carolyn Mundy. He also leaves to cherish his memories, many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
