Robert Earl Mills

Robert Earl Mills, affectionately known as Bob, was born in Iredell County on May 12, 1972, to the late Patricia Ann Mills and Robert Earl Herbert of Atlanta, GA. Bob passed on December 4, 2021, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.

Bob was a 1991 graduate of Mooresville Senior High School. He was employed by Burlington Industries, Hooper Car Wash, and most recently Davidson College. At an early age, Bob attended Antioch Baptist Church. He loved the music of old-time gospel artists such as Rance Allen and Shirley Caesar, as well as other types of music, and loved to DJ at parties and events. His stage name was DJ Earl-Pedicru. He was an avid Carolina Panthers and Carolina Tarheels fan.

In addition to his late mother, Patricia Ann Mills, Bob was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Minnie Denny, and maternal great grandmother, Mary Rose Mills.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Bethany Mills; daughter Khantele Downing of Mooresville; sons: Timothy Glaspy, Jr., and Ratavion Mills of the home; grandson Kaden Glaspy of Texas; three granddaughters: Malaysia, Surenity, and Zur Sutton, of Mooresville; two sisters: Lakedra Mills of Mooresville and Khaillah Howard of Atlanta, GA; one brother Marcus Williams of Atlanta, GA; special nieces and nephews: Tamiya aka Muffin, Harlem, and Justice McIntire, and great-niece Mayela McIntire-Garcia all of Mooresville. Two uncles also survive him: Stevie Denny and Nathan Hooper of Mooresville; five aunts: Maryland Little of Mt. Airy, Carolyn Minor, and Alferia Conner of Mooresville, April Johnson of Atlanta, GA and Brenda Patterson of Charlotte; a host of other family and friends.
