Mr. Robert Lee Whitley Jr. was born July 9, 1980 to Robert Lee Whitley Sr. and Yvonne Clark Whitley. He gently placed his hand in the hands of God and transitioned to his eternal home in Heaven on Friday, June 8, 2018. Robert was called “Big Boi” or “Bobby” by most friends and relatives. He began his education in Atlanta, Georgia where he received his GED and later moved to Huntersville, North Carolina where he met his loving wife, Nica. Bobby went on to attend Phoenix University until he and his wife opened a store “Neats” in downtown Cornelius, North Carolina where they resided. He also did online marketing assisted by his father and sister until his death. Bobby loved his family and enjoyed the Bar-B-Q Grill. He made the best Bar-B-Q Sauce ever! When the smoke would rise from the grill everyone knew they were about to have a good time eating his tasty ribs, chicken, and hot dogs. He enjoyed good conversation and debating; no matter what you said he was going to argue the opposite. By the way… that could go on all night when he was in good health. Everybody that met Bobby would be drawn to conversation with him, but he really enjoyed “keeping to himself” despite a chosen few that he called “Cuz” or “Bruh.” When his health began to decline, no one wanted to believe that he was not going to get better in just a little while, but there came the time when Bobby knew that he was ready to be with the Lord. That, he pretty much kept to himself as well.
