Rose Marie Davis

Ms. Rose Marie Davis, affectionately known "3 Liter Rita" daughter of Doris Davis and Oscar Sanders was born May 8, 1963, in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. She entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 12, 2022. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Isadore Davis and Aunt Lillie Mae Torrence, who raised her after her mother's death. Also preceding her in death, her brother Herman Bernard Davis, her sister, Mary Louise Davis Allison, and her nephew, Omarr Javince Dukes.

Ms. Davis was educated in the Charlotte Mecklenburg high School- Class of 1981. She attended Brookstone College.

Ms. Davis worked for many years at Brawley Middle School as a custodian. She spent the rest of her life taking care of those she loved.

Ms. Davis was raised in Torrence Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, and sang with the Stroller Singers for many years.

She leaves to cherish fond memories her loving daughters, Quinetta Davis of Cornelius, NC, & Quinitta Davis (Taylon) of Mooresville, NC, grandchildren, Tyesha Cornelius of Kannapolis, NC, Iesha Cornelius of Davidson, NC, Kaius Davis of Mooresville, NC and Kimyah Davis of Mooresville, NC, a brother, Oscar Davis of Greensboro, NC, her sisters, Veronica Dukes and Synora Robinson, of Charlotte, NC, her life partner, Authur Cherry, of Cornelius, NC, nieces, Kyesha McCain of Mooresville, NC, and Tashunda Dukes of Charlotte, NC, nephews, Tevin Dukes and Damond Boddy of Charlotte, NC, her bonus son, MarDarius Archie, Sr. of Cornelius, NC, her special friends, Judy and Senetra Mills, Linda Carr, and Tonya Brown of Mooresville, NC. Many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
