Samuel Jay (Jimmie) White

Samuel Jay “Jimmie” White was born October 22, 1938 in Iredell County, North Carolina to the late Grace V. White and Merle Inez Gamble White.  On Monday, December 7, 2020, Samuel J. White was called to be with the Lord following an extended illness, at Lake Norman Reginal  Medical Center, Mooresville, NC.

In addition to his parents, he  was preceded in death by his son , Cavin Maurice White, and one sister, Vernie G. White.

Jimmie, as he was affectionally known to most, was a graduate of Dunbar High School. He was a dedicated member of Watkins Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. Samuel served his country in the United States Army for two years, 1957-1959. He was also a member of the Price Lodge #290.

Samuel leave to cherish his life and memories; a devoted wife, Shelby J. White; one son, Samuel Fitzgerald White (Betty) of Mooresville, NC; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends.
