Shawn Douglas Parish

Shawn Douglas Parish, 49 of Salisbury NC, was called home on Friday, December 23rd 2022.

Shawn was born on July 9, 1973 in Syracuse, NY to his father, Richard Parish. Shawn was a native to Salisbury NC but lived most of his adult life in Mooresville, NC. He had a passion for truck driving. Shawn eventually became a diesel mechanic where he ended his career at Alloy Group LLC.

Shawn was a proud Republican. He loved watching NASCAR-in season he was glued to the TV. Shawn loved spending his time with his children and grandchildren. He took pride in his family. Shawn was blessed to have two beautiful daughters and one stepson.  His two daughters also blessed him with 11 grandchildren who were his whole world.

Welcoming him home to heaven are his grandparents Maurice and Ruth Parish (of North Syracuse, NY). Also, his grandson, Jeremiah Carter (Of Hamtramck, MI).

 He leaves behind to carry on his legacy; daughters, Alivia Vanderburg (Charles) of NC, Lexus Parish (Christian) of MI, Step-Son Jacob Castle (Alessia) of NY. 10 grandchildren; Kyler and Xavier Anderson, Amarrah Vanderburg, Malachi Carter (of Hamtramck, MI) Porsha, Emmaline, Annaleigh, Charles, Cedric, and Haysten Vanderburg (of Mooresville,  NC). He leaves behind in honor of his memory, Father Richard Parish (Debbie) of TN, Brothers Keith Parish (Michelle), and Mark Parish of NY, and two nieces Kaylah Parish and Dezzerae Parish of NY.

Our father taught us everything, except how to live without him. Shawn’s memory will forever live on through us.
