Terry Eugene Springs was born to the late Charles Lester Springs and Janie Heath Springs on February 5th, 1949 in Iredell County, North Carolina. “Gomez” as he was known by his friends and family, was raised by his loving Aunt Essie Heath in Davidson, North Carolina.
Terry graduated from North Mecklenburg High School, class of 1967. Terry fulfilled his dream and went to the police academy. Upon graduation, Terry became a Police Officer with The Town of Davidson from 1972-1986. After his tenure in Davidson, Terry went on to serve as a Police Officer in Cornelius and on the campus of Davidson College for 3 years respectively.
Terry later went back in the workforce and worked at Cashion’s Quick Stop, Exxon and Lake Norman Limousine Services.
Terry leaves to cherish loving memories to his children Carlos Springs, Terrie Springs, Terry Springs Jr., and their mother Laura. His daughters Coretta (Bernard) Grant, Sherry (Humberto) Lopez and Demethris (Craig) Keith. His loving grandchildren, Ashley, Genisha, Justin, Valentino, Nyla, Lauren, Jackson, Kiara, Faith and Alea, Arsenio Malcolm Terry the Ⅲ, and Jalen. He will also be missed by his loving great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Serenitti, Ania, Kingston, Malcolm Jr, Raziyah X’Zaiveana, Brynley, and Jase. Terry leaves surviving brothers, John (Bernita) of Ocala, Fl, Robert of Atlanta. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special Men in Terry’s life were Darius Patterson, Bernard Grant, Frank Jordan, Marlon Bright, Waddel Burton, Scott Misenheimer, Freddie Miller, and Melvin Waller. Last but not least, his loving companion of 23 years Elizabeth Carr ❤ (Beth).
