Timothy Fitchjearl Cowan, 59, was born in Iredell County on September 24, 1964. He was the son of Willis Alexander and the late Joyce Cowan Springs. He departed this life on June 23, 2024.
Timothy attended Mooresville Senior High School. He worked for L.B. Plastic in Mooresville and also Summit Place of Mooresville. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church in Cleveland, NC. Cooking was one of Timothy’s passions; while at Summit Place of Mooresville he was the Head Chef. Another passion Timothy had was music, he was known as DJ Love and also Trackdogg.
Timothy is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Cowan Springs; step father, Jerry Martin Springs; brother, Willis Alexander Jr.; sister, Sylvia McCorkle; In-laws, James S. Cannon Sr. and Sybbie A. Cannon; and brother in law, James S. Cannon Jr.
He leaves to cherish memories of his life, his wife, Debra Cannon Cowan, his daughters, Chaneka Cowan, Chakera Cowan, Alesiandrea Cannon; sons, William Cowan Dereck Johnson; 16 grandchildren, and one great grand child. He also leaves his brothers; Ronnie Cowan, Billy Ray Cowan (Cathy), Timothy Alexander (Veronica), Ronnie Davis both of Charlotte, NC, Tony Davis (Robin), Demond Parks (Angela), Tony L. Alexander both of Kannapolis, NC, Tyrone White (Stacey), Cavin Alexander both of Mooresville, NC; brother-in-law, Rickey Cannon (Myra) of Concord, NC; sisters, Ella Rea Davis of Charlotte, NC, Betty Jones (Gary) of Mooresville, NC, Veronica Lowery, Anita Richardson (Reece) both of Kannapolis, NC, Sheena Brown (Kevin) of Harrisburg, NC, Pamela LaBorde (Ron) of Concord, NC, Cynthia Lewis (B.K.) of Chicago; sister in law, Alfreda Cannon of Huntersville, NC. He also leaves a host of nieces , nephews, other relatives, and friends.
