Timothy Alphonso Sherrill

Mr. Timothy Alphonso Sherrill was born to the late Sam Sherrill and Shirley Sherrill on November 11, 1960, in Mecklenburg County, NC. He transitioned into his heavenly home on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, NC. He was surround by the thing he loved most his family.

T. R., as he was affectionally known, was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church during his early years. He attended North Mecklenburg High School where he found his passion for basketball and baseball. He was also well known for his green Ford Cougar and a devoted Dallas Cowboys and NC Tarheel Fan.

Later in life he was employed by Reeves Brothers, Cardinal Glass and Custom Products until his decline in health.

He was preceded in death by his father Sam Sherrill and a special nephew Condrick Sherrill.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving wife Hazel Sherrill of Mooresville, NC; His mother Shirley Sherrill of Davidson, NC; One Daughter Timia Sherrill (Jimmy) of Charlotte, NC. His three bonus sons, Sheldon Johnson (Tasha), Terrance Johnson and Kiontae Glaspy all of Mooresville, NC. His siblings, Vernon Gabriel of Charlotte, NC, Milton Sherrill, Gwen Sherrill and Sylvia Sherrill all of Davidson, NC, Samuel Sherrill (Ashley) of Charlotte NC, Rhonda Hood of Pleasantville, NJ, Zina Sherrill of Charlotte, NC and Charles Sherrill (Winn) of Huntersville, NC; as well as 2 sister in laws, Nina Johnson of Mooresville, NC and Martha Funderburke (Desi) of Newton, NC. In addition, he was blessed with his grandchildren: Jaxon, Jiant, Shia, DonShel, Ta’Shaila, Yona, Te’Azhiai, Lialah, Tavries, Kinston, Ma’Kayla, and Braylen; 4 Great Grand Children; and a host of caring nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
