Tony Ray Gallmon

Mr. Tony Ray Gallmon departed this life at Presbyterian Hospital on January 4, 2025. He was born in Mooresville, NC to the late Robert & Helen Gallmon. He was the 9th child of 10 children.

Tony was a True Cowboy Fan. He loved basketball, fishing, and softball.

He loved being a Husband, Dad, and especially a Paw Paw, and you can’t forget his toy (his sling shot).

Tony went to Dunbar High School. He then went on to work at Burlington Mills until 1999, and then also worked at Lancaster's BBQ from 1997 until 2022. He attended Ready Church in Charlotte, NC under the leadership of his nephew Pastor Canaan Grier.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother,  Robert Eugene Gallmon and his son, Tito Bowman.

Tony leaves to cherish the memory of his life, his wife of 45 years, Debra Gallmon; two sons, Sammy Jackson (Lacy) and Curtis Gallmon; and one daughter, Toni Kimble (Terrell). He also leaves seven grandchildren; Alisha Koeun, Me’shia Johnson, Isaiah Mercer, Toni Bowman, Troy Gallmon, Brooklyn Tugman, and Saint Jackson; two great grandchildren, twins Noah and Nova Johnson. Also to cherish his memory are his brothers and sisters; Randolph Gallmon, Matthew (Erma) Gallmon, Micheal (Norma) Gallmon, James (Frances) Gallmon, Larry Gallmon, Joyce (Melbert) Smith, Nancy (Billy) Parks, and Ricky (Sonya) Gallmon; along with a host of nieces, nephews, one aunt, Ms. Shirely Sherrill, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
