William Eugene Young Jr.

Mr. William Eugene Young Jr., son of the late William Young Sr. and Peggy Berry was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, on December 14, 1974. William departed this life on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Northeast Medical Center, Concord North Carolina. He was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Bernard Houston, and two sisters, Sharon Young and Pamela Young.

William attended his younger years in Iredell County Schools and completed his middle and high school years in the Mecklenburg County Schools. William graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, North Carolina. William was employed with Pizza Hut and Prime Sirloin Restaurant in Cornelius North Carolina during his early years in life. All for a short period of time, before deciding to become self employed and taking over his father’s business of detailing cars and cleaning office businesses. He did what he loved until the end of his life, as he adored his customers he worked for.

William was a young man who enjoyed spending time with his son, family, and friends. He was a man of God and showed it through his generosity of others. William was a kind-hearted person. He would do anything he could for anyone. He was a fighter through this unexpected illness and fought to get better on his on at home before medically in the hospital, all to get well to care for his son and family, but God needed him more.

William leaves to cherish the memories of his life to his son Elijah Zyaire Nirchi of Davidson, North Carolina, four brothers Darryl Berry (Gloria) of Greensboro, North Carolina, Dexter Berry (Patrice) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Delton McCoy of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Barry Young of Leesburg Florida; two sisters Sabrina Pinkston of Concord, North Carolina and Tina Young of Davidson, North Carolina; seven nephews  Dontavius Young of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Xavier Young of Concord, North Carolina, Jamarie Young of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Tony Alexander of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Dexter Berry Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, Barry Young Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Delton McCoy Jr. of Charlotte, North Carolina; seven nieces, Nevaeh Alexander of Kannapolis, North Carolina, Shakeeka and Shironda Pinkston of Concord, North Carolina, Rachel Young of Leesburg, Florida, Wahtika Massey of Charlotte, North Carolina, Carolyn Young and LaCherria Jones of Laurens , South Carolina; five great nieces, Kendall Reid-Young of Mooresville, North Carolina, Janae Young of Concord, North Carolina, Madiyson Pinkston, Sydni Pinkston, and Ashiya Pinkston of Concord, North Carolina. A host of other relatives, friends, and loves ones also survive.
