Winifred Gail Hooper

Ms. Winifred Gail Hooper, 72, of Troutman, NC was born in Mooresville, NC on September 6, 1950. She was the daughter of Mamie W. Hooper and the late Walter Hooper Sr. Gail passed away on April 17, 2023 at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, NC. She was preceded in death by her father Walter Hooper Sr. and sister, Cynthia Hooper. 

Gail is a graduate of South Iredell High School, Gardner Webb University, and Livingstone College where she majored in Social Studies and Middle School Education. She retired after 31 years of teaching in the Iredell County School System. Gail was a member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc.

Gail is survived by her mother, Mamie Hooper of the home; brothers, Garry (Shelia) and Amar (Renee); sisters, Sandra and Deborah Hooper; friends, Vendetta Hooper, Carolyn Yasmin Saleem, Carollyn Harris, Yvette Purrier, Ruth Reid Coleman, Cynthia Bankhead, Wayne Stewart, Donnell Rhinehart, Faye Thomas Minor, and many more.
