Woody James Allison (AKA Willie, Big Daddy) son of the late Etta & Clarence Allison departed this life February 23, 2020 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House of Huntersville, NC. Woody was born March 24, 1942 in Iredell County, NC.
He received his education at Dunbar School in Mooresville, NC. At a young age he went to Philadelphia, PA. He was a truck driver for Roadway Inc. until he retired in 1996. While residing in Philadelphia, he met the love of his life Robin Bradford.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, Etta and Clarence Allison; son, James Walter Allison; two brothers, Robert Allison Sr. and Fred Allison.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Robin (of the home); daughter, Loretta Allison of Statesville, NC; son, Woody Allison Jr (of the home); brother, Alfred Allison of Mooresville, NC, four granddaughters; Shakira Redford, Renata Redford, Jamesa Redford all of Statesville, NC, and Makayla Jones of Charlotte, NC; an aunt, Eulla Herndon of Philadelphia, PA. He also leaves five sisters in law; Marion Allison of Charlotte, NC, Linda Chambers, Paulette Bradford, Darlene McFadden, and Florine Blackshear of Palm City, FL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
